Ecotricity founder Dale Vince has called for a time limit on divorce claims after agreeing to pay his ex-wife £300,000. Kathleen Wyatt initially demanded £1.9m in a claim lodged more than 25 years after the couple separated, and nearly 20 years since their divorce. Davina Katz, a partner at Schillings who acted for Mr Vince, said: “We are pleased these proceedings have concluded with a settlement which vindicates Mr Vince’s principled stance throughout.” Their case has been closely watched amid fears it could prompt other spouses to pursue claims years after a divorce if their ex-partners later amass a fortune.
