New adoption rights for foster parents in England
The government is to change the law to speed up the adoption of children in care and make it easier for foster parents to adopt those who are living with them. Relatives of children being put up for adoption will have to prove that they can provide permanent stability and “restorative care” to children who may have suffered sexual abuse and trauma from a violent or mentally ill parent
