SFO drops Olympus accounting fraud caseThe SFO has dropped its only case emanating from the $1.7bn accounting scandal at Olympus. It comes two years after the SFO charged the company with making false and misleading financial statements. The regulator was forced to give up its pursuit of Olympus after the Court of Appeal ruled in February that English law did not consider a company misleading its auditors to be a crime
