Lawyers to challenge Libor convictionThe Court of Appeal will begin hearing arguments today from lawyers for Tom Hayes, the first banker to be jailed for Libor rigging. Advocates for Mr Hayes, who was sentenced to 14-years, will ask Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Leveson and Lady Justice Gloster to overturn the conviction of the former Citigroup and UBS trader after he was found guilty in August over fixing Japanese yen Libor.
