CONTENTIOUS PROBATE – Nurse watched sole beneficiary sign his dying mother’s will

A will purporting to have been executed by Valerie Watts on her hospital deathbed, leaving her GBP200,000 estate to her son Gary Watts, was in fact forged by Mr Watts, the England and Wales High Court has decided. The case turned on the evidence of one of the witnesses, a nurse, who saw Mr Watts sign the document instead of his mother.
