Lenders could introduce a mortgage that would allow individuals to stay in their home after a divorce, even if they don’t have the finances to do so, writes Olivia Rudgard in the Telegraph. The innovative “divorce mortgage” would allow someone to borrow enough money to buy their partner out for a set period of time, so one half of a divorcing couple can stay in the once-shared home. Brokers say the products could be introduced by the end of the year.
